Vinit Bodas
Founder, President, and Chief Investment Officer of Deccan Value. Three decades of concentrated, long-horizon investing across more than thirty countries.
Vinit Bodas founded Deccan Value Investors L.P. in 2004 after roughly fourteen years at Duff & Phelps, Montgomery Asset Management, and Brandes Investment Management. The firm runs a concentrated, long-horizon strategy — typically five to ten positions, two or three investment decisions a year, drawn from a curated list of about a hundred and fifty franchise companies with sustainable moats and large addressable markets.
Outside investing, Vinit and his wife Uma support education, Vipassana meditation, Indian cultural and religious institutions, and Connecticut community causes through the Vijaya Foundation, which they founded in 2006 in honor of his grandmother — one of the first women attorneys in India.
